Richard Plehn believes in the team approach.
The key members of the team are:
Lisa Ann Pollakowski, Executive Managing Director, Vanessa Ollarves, Marketing and Research Director/Office Real Estate Coordinator, Douglas Kohn, CPA, and Karina Mana, Website and social media designer.
The team establishes a fully-integrated partnership with our clients gives us a better understanding of their strategic objectives and allows us to help align their real estate goals with their business initiatives. The team specializes in providing comprehensive services, customized solutions and tailored strategies throughout the entire leasing cycle.
The Team uses the resources of Lee Associates (Lee Associates Research Department, Lee Associates Financial Service Department, Project Management, etc.) as well as using outside consultants.

Richard Plehn joined Lee & Associates in 2018 as Senior Managing Director in the New York office. With over 25 years of experience in the commercial real estate business. He has implemented successful strategies on behalf of a wide variety of clients, including Fortune 500 companies, investment banks, hedge funds, law firms, and non-profit organizations. Mr. Plehn also specializes in representing Landlords in leasing and repositioning commercial office buildings.
Prior to working at Lee, Mr. Plehn was a Managing Partner at Mohr Partners, Inc., where he restarted the New York office and developed the Research, Financial Services, and Corporate Consulting Departments. Mr. Plehn also worked at Cresa Partners, where he ran a 4-person brokerage. His team was the #2 highest-producing team in the NYC office. Before this, he spent 20 years at Colliers International in New York City, where he implemented strategies for Tenants and Landlords. He was part of the New York City management committee of Colliers International.
Richard Plehn graduated from NYU with a BS in Accounting in 1990. His high school education was completed at The Frederick Gunn School. Attended Riverdale Country School first grade through 4th Grade, 5th to 9th grades at the Rectory School.

Lisa Ann Pollakowski joined the leasing and sales divisions of Lee & Associates in 2018. She is a Managing Director/Principal in the New York office of Lee & Associates. She specializes in office and industrial leasing and sales. She has successfully combine corporate strategy, the operational requirements of various business divisions, and effective real estate use thanks to her skill set.
Prior to joining Lee NYC, Ms. Pollakowski had been at Newmark Knight Frank for 23 years. While there, she served as a Director, specializing in portfolio management for office and industrial clients, including leasing and sales.
Lisa Ann Pollakowski graduated from Texas Tech University and received a Business Administration bachelor degree. She has a license to practice real estate in the states of New York and Connecticut.

Vanessa Ollarves joined Lee & Associates in 2024. She works as an office real estate coordinator,
creating reports, putting presentations and flyers together, and tour books for potential tenants
while working on lead generation. She works with tools such as Procalc, Costar, Microsoft Office
Suite, Ascendix, and Adobe Suites.
Ms. Ollarves is a professional with over three years of experience in administrative management,
accounts payable, and receivables, which has equipped her with a strong foundation in financial
management principles.
Vanessa Ollarves has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Universidad Santa María, her
academic background has been augmented by practical experience gained through various roles,
including serving as an Administrative Manager, where she managed staff, resources, and
regulatory compliance.

Douglas Kohn has been working in real estate for 13 years, as a leasing agent, property
manager, asset manager, financial analyst, and managing partner of retail assets for an
excess of 10 million dollars.
Douglas Kohn graduated from Fordham from Gabelli School of Business, where he
majored in Accounting and Finance. Douglas has an MBA from Northeastern University,
where he majored in finance & technology. Douglas also holds a CPA license.
Douglas’ previous experience also includes Director of Asset Management and Director
of Accounting at The Partnership, Inc, a Florida based real estate concern managing
5,000 units of multifamily housing and 200,000 SF of commercial space.
Douglas is proficient in using tools like Argus and ProCalc for financial modeling and
lease analysis, allowing him to accurately forecast and assess properties' financial
performance. Douglas is also an accounting professional, with experience in multiple
real estate accounting platforms including Yardi, Appfolio and Buildium and is able to
translate that experience into helping clients maximize their efficiency in real estate
transactions.
During his tenure at Rent Manhattan, Douglas Kohn, as an asset manager, oversaw
assets worth over $200,000,000. He reduced the assets' operating expenses by 20%.
Douglas worked as a financial analyst at Newmark Knight Frank. He supported the
management of a billion dollars in complex transactions. He worked with brokers
supporting their clients who were owners of office buildings, Fortune 500 companies,
top 100 Law firms and mid-market companies. Some of his clients included the
Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Roku, Latham & Watkins, Cleary Gottlieb and
Greenberg Traurig.
Douglas is an adjunct Professor at Fordham University, where he teaches real estate
finance & financial modeling.
Douglas is married with a child. He spends his free time raising money for Jewish
organizations.

Karina Mana is a graphic designer, and social media manager, born in Argentina. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design and Visual Communications.
Her experience of 25+ years experience in the field includes working in Hong Kong: Design and Art Direction in the fashion industry magazine, graphic designs and advertising for a snowboarding and windsurfing company, and Graphic Designer at a monthly entertainment and arts magazine, editorial layout, advertising design.
Karina also lived and worked in Melbourne, Australia in a graphics design studio. Back in her home country, she worked for 5 years in a Security Printers company on Graphic design, website design, and quality management tasks, pre-press of security documents, In-house advertising. As a freelance designer, Karina has helped develop websites and advertising for architectural, retail and food industry companies in Argentina.
She currently works online on graphics, website design and social media for the Richard Plehn team.
